2012 will we hope bring some rewards to the club and cement our position as a strong South Auckland Club flying the flag for rugby excellence.
For some years the club has had a strong management that has increased our exposure to the Mangere community that we represent.
The club has been instrumental in providing after school programes and school holiday programes to foster the sporting endeavours of the Mangere community.
The community needs to show support to the club.
Waka Nathan cup is now underway and the Premier team are beginning to show some mettle for the coming season. Good backline moves and a good strong forward pack.
Junior Boys registrations have started and if you want to get in a team you need to register now. Do not leave your registration until the season starts

It is my sad duty to inform our members of the passing of Dave Hetherington after a short illness
Dave was the last of the original post war Old Boys of the club and a staunch supporter to the last.
He started with Manukau Rovers as a youth and played for the club for the senior side until 1941.
In that year he was promoted to captain the senior side and they won through to the finals of the Gallaher Shield. The Auckland Rugby Union reportedly stacked the Army team with All Blacks and Manukau were defeated in the finals. Dave never played rugby for Manukau again, such was the resolve of the man.
He attended Old Boy meetings regularly for a couple of quiet beers and the company of people he knew. At 92 he could still enjoy a beer.
